NORWEGIAN TECHNOLOGY KEY FACTS
The pace of technological innovation has accelerated almost beyond comprehension. Leading companies are using new and more energy efficient technologies to innovate across product lifecycles and to ‘future proof’ their brands.
Norwegian Technology is where
they find the inspiration for change.
NT provides services and supplies environmentally friendly chemicals to waste water treatment plants.
NORWEGIAN WASTE TO ENERGY AS EMERGES
FROM STAVANGER SLOP AS
Norwegian Technology's thoughts and plans to invest in and develop a company for treatment of industrial waste have now been acted upon by restructuring former Stavanger Slop AS to become a 100% owned subsidiary.
The new Operations Manager is Martin Schanche and a new board of directors are constituted. The aims and values of the new set-up will further build on its predecessor´s sound reputation and bring NW2E up to new levels of advanced technologies for recycling and also using waste to generate bio-gas energy.

MUD SPLIT TECHNOLOGY USED AT MONGSTAD MADE BIG DIFFERENCE
Norwegian Recycling Services, owned by Norwegian Technology has been participating in a project at Mongstad together with Norsk Gjenvinning. The customer - Equinor Mongstad Refinery - introduced new exacting regulations. Oil from the Slam can no longer be sent away for disposal (red listed) meaning that the oil has to be used at the refinery. The oil cannot contain more than 1% water and particles - to prevent steam explosions. Without Mud Split it was not possible for Norsk Gjenvinning using Heater, Decanter and Discstack Sentrifuge to attain less than 40% at best case.
By adding Mud Split before the Heater they managed less than 0.2% water in the oil.

AWARDED INNOVASJON NORGE 4.3 M NOK IFU GRANT
The main goal is to develop and demonstrate a compact and efficient prototype plant for the treatment of produced water for offshore Oil & Gas operations. Specifications for both environmental and economic parameters far exceed existing cleaning methods. The unit must be able to concentrate the waste and be sufficiently robust and flexible to be able to handle a wide range of water quality and operational conditions.
Consequently, the project also includes a significant logistics operation (financed by CoP) to test the plant in three different fields with different water quality.

SUCCESSFUL TECHNOLOGY SETUP FOR WINTERSHALL
During the drilling operation on Seadrill`s West Hercules for exploring the Toutatis well, Norwegian Technology were responsible for zero discharge and treated all slop water to an average oil
in water value of 1,1ppm.
The majority of the chemicals utilized for the slop water treatment will be found in the sludge, and therefore not be discharged to sea.
Summary of treatment data is as follows:
