Technologies for the global green economy

NORWEGIAN TECHNOLOGY KEY FACTS

The pace of technological innovation has accelerated almost beyond comprehension. Leading companies are using new and more energy efficient technologies to innovate across product lifecycles and to ‘future proof’ their brands.
Norwegian Technology is where

they find the inspiration for change.

MMU COMPLETED, TESTED AND READY-TO-SHIP

The advanced MMU has now been checked out onshore, detailed training procedures executed and safety checks performed prior to shipping out to Ekofisk.

In the course of October it will be in place to treat slop and produced water as a permanent installation.

The operator's aim is to limit the amount of waste substances that would otherwise be disposed of using a well designed for wasre materials - reducing the risk of a production shutdown.

STAVANGER SLOP STRENGTHENED WITH NEW LEADERSHIP, NAME, INVESTMENT AND FOCUS

Norwegian Technology's thoughts and plans to invest in and develop Stavanger Slop have now been acted upon. The company is now owned 100% by Norwegian Technology and will be called "Norwegian Waste to Energy". The new General Manager is Martin Schanche and a new board of directors are constituted. The aims and values of the new set-up will further build on Stavager Slop's sound reputation and bring NW2E up to new levels of advanced technology and recycling also using waste to generate bio-gas energy.

MUD SPLIT TECHNOLOGY USED AT MONGSTAD MADE BIG DIFFERENCE

Norwegian Recycling Services, owned by Norwegian Technology has been participating in a project at Monstad together with Norsk Gjenvinning. New and more exacting regulations have been introduced by the  authorities. Oil from the Slam can no longer be sent away for disposal (red listed). This means in practice that the oil has to be used at the refinery.  The oil cannot contain more than 1% water and particles - to prevent steam explosions. Without Mud Split it was not possible for NG using Heater, Decanter and Discstack Sentrifuge to attain less than 10% at best case.

By adding Mud Split beforre the Heater they managed less than 0.2% water in the oil.
